For Love of Country? Not Really.

Ai adai i gachong-hu.
I wished I could say I love my country, but I can't because Guam isn't a country.
I know we are a part of the United States, but we are just a territory.
A result of the United States idea called Manifest Destiny.
One day I hope this will change.
The islander.
